Jan is the author of Trick Training Your Horse to Success which is aimed at the owner or rider who wants to improve their horse’s mind and body by teaching the horse to be a more responsive, submissive, confident, and happy performer. Trick training can help achieve these objectives, whether the goal is championship ribbons, a safer trail horse, or the simple joy of working with and training a horse.

Jan also stands at stud TS Black Tie Affair, exotic 7/8 Arabian true black Tobiano Pinto. He is 22 time Pinto World & Reserve World Champion. TS Black Tie Affair was also extensively used to demonstate in Trick Training. He is a high-schooled exhibition trick horse and exhibited across the country. Trained to bow, lie down, sit, rumba, cross legs, stand on a box, Spanish Walk, circus bow and many more - in hand, under saddle or at liberty!
